HIV/AIDS, Bloodborne Pathogens
Re: HIV/AIDS, Bloodborne Pathogens:
This course is updated to include the latest available HIV statistics as of early 2022. The course identifies current treatments that permit patients to live healthy lives, often with undetectable viral load, and consequently, a much-reduced risk of transmitting the virus or developing Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome (AIDS). The course also reviews the various strains of Hepatitis, identifying how they are transmitted and why they may actually pose a greater transmission risk than HIV. Course content satisfies licensing requirements for a course on Bloodborne Pathogens, HIV/AIDS, or general infection control for most licensees.
